Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026Evontar (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Evontar community management platform accessible at app.evontar.com and related websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use our services.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an Evontar account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google but never store your Google password.
Community & Organization Data
Board members who create a community organization provide a community name and optional address or description. Members who join a community may add profile information such as their unit number or phone number, at their discretion.
Content You Create
We store content you submit through the platform, including announcements, event postings, poll responses, maintenance requests, document files, and messages. This content is visible only to verified members of your community organization.
Usage Data
We collect standard server logs, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, to operate and improve the service. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies or sell usage data to advertisers.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Evontar platform
- To send transactional emails (welcome emails, announcement notifications, dues reminders) that you or your board has configured
- To respond to support requests
- To send product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time)
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the platform:
- Neon (database hosting) — stores your community data in an encrypted, managed PostgreSQL database
- Resend (email delivery) — sends transactional emails on our behalf
- UploadThing (file storage) — stores documents you upload to the document library
- Google (sign-in) — authenticates users who choose the “Sign in with Google” option
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Data Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. Database access is restricted to the application and authorized personnel only.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@evontar.com. Community data is retained for 30 days after account deletion to allow recovery in case of accidental deletion, then permanently erased.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Export your community data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-transactional communications
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@evontar.com.
Children’s Privacy
Evontar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the application. Continued use of Evontar after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
